Cancellation policy

Cancellation right
You have the right to cancel this contract within fourteen days without providing reasons. The cancellation term is fourteen days,

-          when purchasing goods, as of the day on which you or a third party designated by you, who is not the carrier, assumes or has assumed possession of the goods (for separate deliveries, the cancellation term begins on the day on which you or a third party designated by you, who is not the carrier, assumes or has assumed possession of the last goods);

-          when purchasing digital products (e.g. activation codes and PLENTICOINs) from the day the contract is concluded.

In order to exercise your cancellation right, you must inform us, KOSTAL Solar Electric GmbH, Hanferstr. 6 79108 Freiburg/Breisgau, Germany, telephone number +49 (0)761 47744-100, fax number +49 (0)761 47744-111, e-mail sales-solar@kostal.com, of your decision to cancel this contract with a clear declaration (e.g. a letter sent by mail, fax or e-mail). To this purpose, you can use the accompanying sample cancellation form, which is, however, not prescribed.

In order to meet the cancellation term, it is sufficient when you send the notification of the exercising of your right to cancellation prior to the expiration of the cancellation term.

Consequences of cancellation
If you cancel this contract, we reimburse all payments we have received from you, including the delivery costs (with the exception of the additional costs resulting from the fact that you selected a method of delivery differing from the most affordable standard delivery method offered by us), without delay and within fourteen days of the day on which we received notification of the cancellation of this contract. For this reimbursement we will use the same method of payment you used for your original transaction, unless something different was expressly agreed upon with you; under no circumstances will you be charged fees resulting from this repayment.

We can refuse to undertake repayment until we have received the returned goods or until you have provided proof that you have sent back the goods, whichever point in time is earlier.

You must send back or hand over the goods without delay and no later than fourteen days from the day on which you notify us of the cancellation of this contract to us, KOSTAL Solar Electric GmbH, Lange Eck 11, 58099 Hagen. The term is considered met when you send the goods prior to the expiration of the term of fourteen days.

You bear the direct costs of return shipment of the goods.

You are only liable for any loss of value of the goods when this loss of value can be traced back to unnecessary handling of them by you for the purpose of testing the quality, properties and function of the goods.

If you requested that warranty services be provided during the cancellation term following the purchase of a warranty extension, in the event of cancellation you must provide compensation for the value of the provided warranty measures.

Exception from the cancellation right
The cancellation right does not exist for contracts concerning the delivery of goods that have not been prefabricated, and for the manufacture of which an individual selection or determination by the consumer is of decisive importance, or which is clearly tailored to the personal needs of the consumer.

The right to cancellation shall expire prematurely if we have only commenced execution of the contract once you have given your express consent and at the same time confirmed that you are aware that you will lose your right to cancellation upon commencement of execution of the contract on our part. We reserve the right to make the conclusion of the contract dependent on the aforementioned consent and confirmation.

We only grant the cancellation right to consumers.
